I've always been a dreamer, a romantic, and an artist. I've been told more than once that I have my 'head in the clouds.' It’s true. I see the world differently. Maybe that is why I like watercolor so much. The medium is fluid and free and has a hard time playing by the rules. I had a traditional art education but I just couldn't seem to follow the rules either. I kept asking, "What if I did this?" Or, "What if I changed that?"

Early on I developed a loose style of watercolor painting and over time it has evolved. I like to start a story with my paintings but then I want you, the collector, to find your own story and finish what I started. My desire is to do more than paint a pretty picture. I want to create art that connects us through memories, feelings, and beauty.

I like to think of my paintings as a love letter to the people, places, and moments that make up the human experience.

A few years ago I granted myself the fancy title of Artist Whisperer and Business Director for SteveGriggsWatercolor. My background in Higher Education Administration has equipped me with the necessary skills to handle the business and marketing aspects of our artist business. Operating behind the scenes, I manage various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.

Working alongside Steve has been a fulfilling experience, as I witness firsthand the positive influence his art has on people. I firmly believe that Steve's art contributes to making the world a more beautiful place, and I am dedicated to supporting him and assisting our collectors in finding the perfect pieces for their home or office.
